The Journal of Clinical Psychology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal with open access, published quarterly in Persian, with abstracts in both concise and comprehensive English. It is owned by Semnan University and is published in collaboration with the Iranian Psychological Association. The journal is authorized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance under registration number 894/124, and it holds a scientific-research grade awarded by the National Scientific Journals Commission on 06/03/2009. This journal provides a platform for publishing innovative research findings from researchers, professors, students, and clinical professionals. Its purpose is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences among researchers both within Iran and internationally.
The Journal of Clinical Psychology publishes research on fundamental, fundamental-applied, and applied topics in clinical psychology, including contemporary clinical psychology issues, subclinical issues, specific clinical concerns in psychology, and matters related to healthcare services in the field of clinical psychiatry and behavioral sciences. Articles may focus on field research, case studies, clinical observations, evidence-based clinical concepts, clinical trials, theoretical and methodological clinical research, causality studies, epidemiological research on mental disorders, qualitative research, and research related to the evaluation of programs, policies, or trends in clinical psychology.
The journal is considered a core publication in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) and publishes between 7 and 14 articles per issue after peer review and approval by the editorial board. The process from article submission to reviewer assignment takes about 10 working days, and the final decision process takes approximately 45 to 90 working days. Articles that receive two positive reviews are accepted for publication. However, the editorial board reserves the right to reject articles at any stage of the peer review and publication process for valid scientific, content-related, or professional and ethical reasons. Research on mental health promotion and psychological interventions in non-clinical populations will only be considered if there is a clear connection to clinical psychology research or practice. In general, articles should be innovative, containing novel scientific insights, and should advance the science or practice of clinical psychology. Manuscripts should be methodologically sound and well-written before submission for peer review. Authors must adhere to the Journal of Clinical Psychology submission guidelines, and manuscripts that do not follow these instructions will be returned to the authors without review.
