Call for Papers: Journal of Clinical Psychology
The Journal of Clinical Psychology is a scientific, open-access journal published quarterly in Persian, with English abstracts, under the ownership of the University of Semnan and in collaboration with the Iranian Psychological Association. It is registered with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance under registration number 894/124 and holds an academic grade granted by the Scientific Publications Commission of the Country on 06/03/1388. This journal publishes original research in clinical psychology, covering both theoretical and applied issues. It accepts manuscripts in the fields of fundamental, fundamental-applied, and applied research, particularly addressing contemporary issues in clinical psychology, subclinical conditions, specific clinical issues in psychology, as well as matters related to healthcare services in clinical psychiatry and behavioral sciences. Articles may include field studies, case studies, clinical observations, clinical concept validation studies, clinical trials, pathogenesis research, and epidemiological studies on mental disorders. The journal also considers theoretical and methodological research, qualitative studies, research on program evaluations, policies, or trends in clinical psychology. In addition to research in psychopathology, psychological diagnosis and assessment, and psychotherapy processes, the journal publishes studies related to the effectiveness of psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and comparisons of psychological treatments and interventions. Clinical outcomes, interdisciplinary research including clinical health psychology, behavioral medicine, psychosocial aspects of chronic diseases, neuropsychological immunology, clinical neuropsychology, behavioral psychiatry, and psychological rehabilitation are also welcomed.
The Journal of Clinical Psychology is recognized as a core journal in the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC). Each issue publishes between 7 to 14 articles after a peer-review process and approval by the editorial board. The time from manuscript acceptance to reviewer assignment is approximately 10 working days, and the peer review and final decision process typically takes between 45 to 90 working days. Articles that receive two approvals from reviewers will be issued an acceptance letter. However, the editorial board reserves the right to reject articles for valid scientific, content, and professional ethics reasons at any stage of the review and publication process. Research on mental health promotion and psychological interventions in non-clinical populations is considered only if it has a clear connection to clinical psychology research or practice. In general, articles should be innovative and contribute new scientific knowledge to clinical psychology, with a focus on advancing the science and practice of clinical psychology.
The journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access Iranian journal that publishes research articles electronically on a quarterly basis. The editorial office is located at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, University of Semnan. The Journal of Clinical Psychology (JCP) was established to reflect the most important scientific advancements in the country’s clinical psychology field and follows the standards and publishing ethics of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
