Introduction: Social cognition is based on abstractions of interpersonal interactions. The aim of the present research was studying the affective judgment conditions on social cognition of adolescents with high-functioning autism in both Gender.
Method: This research was a experimental study and statistical population was included of the students of two normal schools and one special school of autistic adolescents. A sample of 28 students from 11 to 15 years old selected accidentally between three schools (14 girl students were selected only between one school and 14 students were at two schools), and they replaced in 2 experimental groups and 2 control groups randomly. The instrument consists of 10 pictures to emotional recognition (5 negative and 5 positive pictures) under three conditions of emotional judgment . The factorial analysis is used for data test.
Results: The results showed that there were significant differences between expression of positive and negative emotion under two affective judgment conditions (self & other) on social cognition in autistic and normal (control group) adolescents ( =0.01); But there were no significant differences between expression of positive and negative emotion under affective judgement of condition (location) on social cognition in autistic and normal adolescents. Only there was a significant difference between autistic boy group and normal girl group in expression of positive emotion under locational condition of affective judgment.
Conclusion: In sum, it concluded that expression of positive and negative emotion under affective judgment conditions (specifically, condition of other) were decreased in autistic people.
