Comparison of Alexithymia, loneliness and Self-compassion in the Girls with and Without Sexually Abused

Abstract

Introduction: The experience of sexual abuse in girls has many negative effects in psychological, cultural and social fields and affects their lives in many ways. The present study was conducted with the aim of Comparison of alexithymia, loneliness and self-compassion in the girls with and without sexually abused.
Method: The research method is of a comparative causal type and the statistical population of the research included all girls with sexual abuse who referred to the psychological service centers of Ardabil city in 1401, 30 girls with sexual abuse were selected using convenience sampling method and with 30 Girls without sexual abuse were compared. Alexithymia Bagby & et al, loneliness Russeel & et al and self-compassion Neff Questionnaire were used. Data were analyzed by MANOVA- ANOVA.
Results: The findings showed that there was a significant difference in alexithymia, loneliness and self-compassion of girls with and without sexual abuse.
Conclusion: These results have important implications in prevention, pathology, therapy intervention and clinical deal women girls with and sexually abused.
