[English]

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of personality traits and a source of health control in predicting coronary anxiety in women. The present study was a descriptive-correlational study in a predictive manner according to the applied purpose and the nature of the subject. The statistical population included all women in District 2 of Shiraz in 1399 that a sample of 200 people were selected by available methods. Data collection tools included Neo Personality Traits Scale (McCreery and Costa, 1989), Rose, Rose and Shorts Health Source (2015), and Corona Anxiety (Alipour et al., 1398). Data were analyzed by SPSS software version 26 and Pearson correlation tests and multiple regression. The results showed that the dimensions of agreement, extroversion, flexibility and conscience as well as the source of internal health control were inversely related to coronary anxiety, the neurotic dimension and the source of external health control and chance were also positively related to corona anxiety. The results of regression analysis also showed that through four personality dimensions (agreement, extroversion, flexibility and conscience) as well as the source of internal health control, women's coronary anxiety scores can be predicted inversely. And then neuroticism and the source of external health control and luck were able to directly predict coronary anxiety scores in women.
