[English]

Abstract
Introduction: Social anxiety disorder is a type of anxiety disorder. Recent research has shown that difficulty in  emotion regulation is the underlying mechanism of  anxiety and mood disorders. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of transdiagnostic treatment on the social anxiety of students.
Method: The  study design was a randomized controlled trial. A sample of 24 participants was selected with inclusion/exclusion criteria by the available sampling method and  randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The  study instruments were the Cognitive Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DRES), and Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN). After  data collection, statistical  a repeated-measures analysis was performed by SPSS-24 software.
Results: The  study results showed that the transdiagnostic treatment can improve emotion-based symptoms in people with social anxiety. Transdiagnostic treatment could explain 59.8% of the variance of post-test changes compared to the pre-test. Therefore, the use of this unified protocol improved emotional adequacy and emotion regulation in students with social anxiety at Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences (p> 0.05).
Conclusion: It could be concluded that transdiagnostic treatment reduces social anxiety, improves adequacy, and regulates emotion in students and can be considered a helpful method for students with social anxiety and emotional problems.
